SAFETY STATEMENTS

Safety StatementsIn accordance with Section 20 of the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005, all employers including the self-employed must compile a safety statement to ensure a safe working environment is provided for all employees, contractors and visitors to the workplace.

It is the duty of every employer...
"to provide systems of work that are planned, organised, performed and maintained so as to be, so far as is reasonably practicable, safe and without risk to health"
The Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005, Section 8(2)e

The Safety Statement must outline how hazards are to be eliminated, controlled or protected against in order to ensure a safe working environment. DCM Compliance can provide a safety statement specific to your business.
